Reduce Food Waste for Sri Lankan Food Businesses
By Exfoody · Updated 12 October 2026

Good food can remain unsold at the end of a service. Exfoody’s planned free service gives Sri Lankan food businesses a way to connect that edible surplus with people who can enjoy it.
Which businesses is this for?
Bakeries, cafes, restaurants, hotels and grocery stores with edible surplus can explore the concept. Participation and launch locations will be confirmed before onboarding. No business on this preview is presented as a confirmed partner.
Start by understanding your surplus
Record what remains unsold, how much is available, when it becomes available and whether it can be collected while still suitable to eat. Distinguish edible surplus from kitchen scraps and food that must be discarded. These details make it easier to decide whether a collection offer is practical.
Describe an offer clearly
An offer should explain what customers can expect, whether the selection is a surprise, the quantity, the food price if applicable, and the collection window. Include ingredient and allergen information that customers need to make an informed choice. Do not describe every food item as suitable for every diet.
Plan a realistic collection window
Choose a collection time that works for your team and the food you are offering. Give clear directions and a way for customers to identify their reserved offer. Collection arrangements and any specific operational requirements must be confirmed during onboarding.
Is Exfoody free for businesses?
Yes. The Exfoody service is free to use for businesses and customers. Food offers are at least 50% below their usual price, with each supplying business setting its offer details and collection window. A price for food, where applicable, is separate and set by the supplying business. Free access to the service does not mean every food offer is free.
Can we join today?
This is a pre-launch preview. Onboarding and launch details are still being prepared. The site currently explains the service and does not accept partner registrations, process payments or confirm reservations.
